The doctors and team at Arizona Animal Wellness Center feel that our surgical procedures, pain management techniques, and after-care are the best available in veterinary medicine.
We strive to provide the most advanced and compassionate care.
Your pet’s safety is our utmost concern.

We use the safest anesthetic options available and we provide the same level of patient monitoring that is used in human medicine. We will never leave your pet’s side while under anesthesia. We monitor all of your pet’s vital signs with state-of-the-art equipment as well as manual techniques. We will always make sure that your pet recovers from surgery in a warm and comfortable way while being cared for by a trained professional.

Your pet's comfort is also a top priority with our team. We understand that surgery can be stressful for both pets and their owners. That's why we're committed to providing comprehensive pain management before, during, and after every procedure.

From routine surgeries like spays and neuters to complex orthopedic procedures, we administer carefully selected pain medications to minimize discomfort. Your pet will receive continued pain relief at home with a proper supply of medication.

Orthopedic Surgical Consultations

A referred patient’s initial consultation includes a full orthopedic examination, assessment of injury / concern, and options for corrective surgery or traditional medical treatment. If it is determined that traditional medical treatment is needed, your patient will be transferred back to you with any recommendations for therapy. This can be done through a phone consultation with the referring veterinarian and / or written recommendations. Dr Colton and his surgical team will be able to thoroughly answer any questions and provide a full treatment plan for surgery, through recovery, and recommendations for aftercare / rehabilitation.

*A referral to our licensed rehabilitation therapy team post surgery may be suggested to help ensure a successful recovery.
